•Lorenzo Chavez was born in New Mexico and his inherited connection to the colorful and historic Southwest was the catalyst for his art career. He participated in national invitational and juried exhibitions including the Pastel Society of America, and was featured in a One-Man show at the C.M. Russell Museum. Articles about his work have appeared in major art magazines, and three books feature his art: Colorado Landscapes, Pure Color: The Best of Pastel and Plein
Air New Mexico. His suggestive renderings and fluent technique have earned him numerous awards and devoted collectors throughout the U.S.
